If you go to the Wikipedia page for the list of mathematics societies, you will see that very few societies within Africa are shown. A very quick Google search shows that many countries do indeed have their own mathematics society, so it would be great to try and find out which ones are active. If you know of an active society for a country which is not in the list (currently only South Africa and Gabon are listed as far as I can see), then please write it in the comments, we can collate them, and upon contacting them and asking whether they want to be listed on the wikipedia page, we can put in their details. Please spread the word and let’s see if we can get a few more societies highlighted.

I can confirm that the Ghana Mathematical Society is active, not sure how up to date any of the websites are. I will pass your link on to a couple of people I know who are definitely in the Society for them to provide up to date information.
There are also the various AIMS centres (African Institute of Mathematical Sciences) across the continent – in SA, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal and Cameroon I believe.
African Mathematics Initiative (AMI) is a Kenyan NGO formed by mathematicians and mathematics educators who are working to create a stronger mathematical community and culture of mathematics across Africa. AMI has quite a number of very interesting initiatives that promote maths across all academic levels. This includes successful mathscamps in Kenya, Ethiopia and Ghana that keeps on spreading. Here is there website http://www.africanmathsinitiative.net/ and more information about their camps can be found on http://www.africanmathsinitiative.net/mmc/
